Data Insight Privacy Policy
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how the Data Insight Android app handles information. Data Insight is published by Diagnostix360 and is a separate app from Diagnostix360 itself, which has its own privacy policy. Questions can be sent to support@diagnostix360.com.
2. What the app reads on your device
Per-app network usage. With your permission (Usage Access), Data Insight reads the per-app data figures Android already records on the device, and uses them to show where your mobile and Wi-Fi data went.
Screen time per app. Through the same Usage Access permission, it reads how long each app was open and when the screen was on or off overnight. This is used only to compare an app's data use with how much you actually use it, and to build the overnight report.
A list of apps that used data. App names and a small copy of their icons are kept in the app's private storage, so past usage stays readable after an app is uninstalled and the app can estimate what removing it saved.
Your data plan, if you enter one. The plan size, renewal date and optional price you type in are stored in a local database on the phone. Entering a plan is optional.
All of it stays on the device. Uninstalling Data Insight deletes its local usage history, app catalog, generated reports and local database. If Android Backup is enabled, some preferences or data-plan settings may later be restored by Android from your own device backup; usage history is excluded from backup.
3. What the app does not read
- Location. Data Insight requests no location permission of any kind.
- Contacts, photos, files, messages or call history.
- The content of your network traffic. Android reports byte counts per app; it does not expose what was sent, and neither does this app.
4. Permissions, and why each one exists

There is no INTERNET permission. Android therefore blocks the app from making any network connection at all.
5. Sharing and beta feedback
When you share a weekly card or a PDF report, the file is created on your phone and handed to Android's share sheet. You choose where it goes; the app sends nothing itself.
During closed testing, “Send feedback” opens your email app with support@diagnostix360.com pre-filled. Data Insight does not send the message itself; you review it and choose whether to send it using your email provider.
6. Backups
If you use Android Backup, app preferences and data-plan settings may be included in your own device backup, handled by Google under your Google Account settings. Usage history, the app catalog and generated reports are not backed up.
7. Children
Data Insight is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
8. Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app ever collects or transmits anything, this policy, the Google Play Data safety declaration and the app itself will say so before that version is released.
