Rolling connection view

Watch the connection while the problem is happening.

Live Test is a user-started, bounded 60-second rolling diagnostic view. It is designed for intermittent lag, drops and changing radio conditions rather than for producing a permanent score or SLA record.

A fresh view of the current network

Every 10 seconds the current cycle is folded into the rolling window. Old cycles age out, so the screen describes roughly the latest minute instead of accumulating measurements forever.

  • Wi-Fi and mobile aware

Shows the active transport, radio measurements exposed by Android, network identity, Internet timing and stability.

  • Network-change reset

If the logical connection changes, values from the previous network are cleared before the new window is built.

  • Offline means no stale values

When the connection is unavailable, previous measurement values are not presented as if they still described the current path.

Website example is sanitized: network name, ISP identity and addresses are replaced or hidden.
How to read it

Radio context and path evidence are intentionally separated.

Radio & ISP

Wi-Fi RSSI or technology-specific mobile measurements such as RSRP/RSRQ/SINR provide radio margin and context. Negotiated Wi-Fi speed is informational, not a direct throughput test.

Tests

The Tests status summarizes the test evidence inside that card. A weak radio observation does not turn a healthy Internet/stability result into a red Tests badge.

Conclusion

The conclusion combines the evidence instead of simply repeating every value. For example, a weak signal may be described as working when latency and stability remain healthy.

Stability

Internet drops take precedence over local drops.

On Wi-Fi, local gateway no-replies can be shown when they are measurable. If the Internet path itself has drops, that broader failure takes precedence. A router that simply does not answer ICMP is treated as an observability limitation when Internet/DNS evidence shows the connection is otherwise reachable.

Mobile is different. The local/gateway tile is not shown as an empty “Not used” measurement on mobile. The available space is used for Internet and stability evidence instead.

Designed to stay visible without becoming intrusive.

If you minimize Diagnostix360 while a Live Test is running, Android shows a low-priority ongoing notification with current rolling-window progress and a Stop action. The service exists only for a Live Test the user explicitly started.

What Live Test is not

It is not a certified uptime monitor, SLA recorder or background surveillance service. Android power management, force-stopping the app, connectivity changes and device behavior can affect a running session.

Privacy

Live Test analytics are optional and coarse.

When Usage Analytics is enabled, Diagnostix360 may send broad product events such as Live Test started/completed, broad Wi-Fi/mobile transport, Simple/Technical mode, a broad duration bucket and whether the network changed. It does not add Live Test latency, loss, signal, IP, DNS/gateway, ISP/ASN, SSID, report IDs or the Diagnostix360 diagnostic installation UUID to Firebase event parameters. See the Privacy Policy.
